Birthday Girl

Zoë wanted a beach theme for her birthday yesterday - her 9th birthday! We decorated this beauty together. It has a beach with teddy bears playing in the sand & floating and catching some rays in the water. We even painted bikinis, swim trunks & sunglasses on the bears. It turned out very cute, if I do say so myself! We also did some cupcakes.
Blowing out her candles - Layne was helping out (in the back ground).
Finally we got some presents opened! Thanks everyone!

The end of a season

Trevor's end of the season t-ball party was last weekend, I'm just now getting around to posting it. We went to Pump it Up and the kids jumped for a while - they were nice and tired after that! Thanks for organizing such a fun party Heather! We had a great time.

T-Bone loved the big slide. I tried to get a shot of him jumping onto the slide but I wasn't quick enough. He was so high up in the air - he's a dare devil when he wants to be. Makynzi just barely got out of the way before he came barreling down towards her.

Londyn makes me smile. She's even cuter when she's sneaking a drink from Mom's Big Gulp - I LOVE her sassiness...sorry Heather, but I do!
Zoë was not to be left out of the action. She really liked the obstacle course.
Trevor loves his trophy - getting it from Dad made it even better. Thank you Greg, Brad & Adam - you guys are awesome coaches! The cake for the team - Sam's Club does such a great job. This cake was huge. This picture does not give it justice!

Huh?

What's wrong with this picture? It's a WHITE praying mantis! This little gem is perched over the window outside my front door as we speak. It's really tiny so I assume it's a baby that hasn't matured and taken on it's beautiful green color. Is there such a thing as an albino praying mantis? Hmmmm.........

Service

It's always been hard for me to accept anything from other people - help, service of any kind, compliments, gifts - you name it. Call it a hang up, one of many. But I couldn't resist the offer Trevor gave me one night this past week.

He asked me if I wanted a neck massage or a foot rub. How cute is that? He rubbed my feet for a half hour - after he brushed my hair!

I love this little boy so much it hurts. He is such a sweetie pie - and definitely a Mama's boy.

Father's Day month & Zoë's birthday month

It's a joke in our family that the month your birthday falls in is your birthday month, so starts another such month in the Johnson house!

I've decided that it's also Father's Day month and that I would do something special for Brad every day this month. He was ready to mow the front & back yards today when he got home, only he didn't have to worry about the back yard! The kids and I came home and cleaned it all up for him then I mowed it for him.

How'd I do?
