It's not enough to do one's best. One must do what is necessary. - Sir Winston Churchill

Cannonville, October 2010

We took advantage of the long Veterans Day weekend & headed up to Cannonville for some COLD fun! It was snowy over the pass & in red canyon, but once we got down into the valley past Panguitch it was just cold.

Love the tunnels! Of course it's mandatory to honk your horn when you go through them.

Zack & Trevor slept in our room the first night. They played their iTouch(s) for hours.
Gramma & Zoe hangin' out at the old house.
Zoe & Uncle Brent - they're ready to go 4-wheeling!
Zane & Jake (left), Camille & Zoe (right) - heading out to the river bed!
Zacky Bear & T-Bone
Brad & Trevor - both of the kids did really good at driving the big 4-wheelers by themselves. Trevor braved the track with Dad, but stuck to the flat areas when he went out by himself.
Gotta have our Diet Coke, no matter what!
Zoe on Willy - the kids love this thing! I can't believe Zoe is already too big for it - time flies!
We took the kids on a hike up to Mossy Cave. There were so many photo ops! I took pictures with my camera, then Layne took it for a while, then Brent took his turn. They did pretty good!

Camille said this picture looks like Brad & his 3 wives! Ha ha!
Brad & Les at the waterfall (photographer - Layne!)
Yes - we hiked all the way up there! It got pretty steep, but we all did it. We got some great pics at the top & some of the way back down.
At the top (Photographer - Brent!)
A view of the bottom from about 1/2 way up. That's Angela crossing the river on the log. Crazy girl.
I love the way the sunlight is coming through the trees in this picture!
Jake, Zoe & Megan - the kids of the year 2000
Zack, Trevor & Livvy
Ed, Brad & Layne with Zane & Jake in the go cart. (Jake looks like a Nascar driver - he drives that thing like a champ!)
Brad & T-Bone
Zack thought he had enough room to squeeze through - I think not.
Trevor at his Grandpa Hart's grave. He's named after his Great Grandpa - Trevor Hart Johnson.
The kids at the graves of their Great, Great, Great Grandparents - Seth & Lydia Johnson. Seth's father is Joel Hills Johnson. He wrote the hymn 'High On a Mountain Top'.
Trevor's pointing out something to Olivia on top of a mountain overlooking the Grand Staircase looking towards Escalante.
Trevor loved hanging out with the town stray. He named him Bob.
What a fantastic weekend we had! We ate dinner out every night, the last night we went to a restaurant called The Pines - they had the most fantastic pies! We all ordered a different one & shared with everyone. We all left feeling a little sick....but it was so worth it!
